It's that time of the year again, rankings and lists all over :)

I thought it'll be nice to see what the semanticoverflow.com community considers the "winners" of 2009 in the Semantic Web field. Which ventures/companies/products/sites do you think were the most innovative/successfull/... in 2009 ?

GoodRelations is a huge win in my opinion. It is driving the adoption of RDFa and testimonials from significant customers (Best Buy) are starting to surface that really incent other publishers to adopt. Jay Meyer's from Best Buy credits embedding RDFa into their site as the main driver behind a 30% increase in Google PageRank.

There is also some speculation that Google has started indexing GoodRelations RDFa which further incents publishers.

Recently stumbled upon a nice post by CapGemini that discusses Linked Data and its application in the public sector.
